Gasp! This is the bakery you wish was in your hometown! We shared a slice of the BEST carrot cake we've ever had... and we're connoisseurs!! 😋 We also had a bite of their famous chocolate cake... 🤤
The best bakery in Woodstock. Incredible pastries and cookies, delicious coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s always a treat to stop by. The kitchen sink cookie and the tahini chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.
Skip the baked goods at Bread Alone and come here instead! 5X better tasting. The chocolate chunk cookie and the carrot cake were both excellent, and the owners were awesome and passionate about their baking. It’s a little farther along Tinker St but not to be missed.
Overlook Bakery makes my favorite chocolate chip cookie in the Hudson Valley and therefore I never stray from the tried & true. However, when I was there last weekend my eye wandered to their brownie.. I love chocolate but brownie’s often disappoint me. I find them dry and not chocolatey enough but this one looked too good to resist. I decided to risk it and I’m so glad I did. Best brownie of my life. Super fudgy with a crackly crust and little chocolate pieces providing some nice texture. I can’t stop thinking about it and I will be back very very soon for another.
Thank you for being open on a Tuesday so I could pick up some treats for my bday - it's rare to find a *really* good bakery that's open 7 days a week, and til 6pm!? Cute, clean space, parking, friendly staff and incredible cake / cookies - we need Overlook Bakery all over the Hudson Valley!
Overlook Bakery is absolutely amazing! My husband and I ordered our wedding cake just a week before our ceremony and they were incredible and so accommodating. Everyone loved the citrus olive oil cake with lemon curd and they completely nailed our vision. It was better than we ever could have hoped for and I couldn't stop smiling at it the whole night. We are so grateful to the whole team. Thank you so much!
After walking up Overlook Mountain what do you do next? Of course you stop at Overlook Bakery. They offer a good selection of cookies, muffins, cakes and coffee items with many GF and vegan options. Inside there are a few tables for two people and picnic tables with umbrellas outside. We enjoyed sitting outside. The service was as excellent as the pastries were. It was a Tuesday in early October and many other places were closed in Woodstock.
Came up from NYC for the weekend with friends to celebrate my birthday and Overlook did NOT disappoint!! I didn’t order a bday cake ahead of time so we went to pick something out the day of; and they had a perfect pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting that I’ll dream about for years to come :) the staff was super friendly and they also sold local art. Will be back soon ❤️
The chocolate chip cookies here are amazing!! We’ve been a number of times - so addictive. At the same time, though, I’ve never really enjoyed the other sweets that much and stick to the chocolate chip cookies. I wonder if they kept that sweet buttery (with a bit of crisp) base and did more with it what would happen?
Picked up some yummy treats for my husband and I including the Magic bar, chocolate cupcake, sesame cookies, and raspberry thumbprint cookie. My husband loved the chocolate cupcake. I thought the vegan gluten free cookies and magic bar was delicious. Everything looked great. Service was friendly. Overall I’d definitely recommend for treats when in the area!
